Responsibilities:

  • Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage cabling & fiber optic cabling
  • Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
  • Install low voltage conduit indoors and outdoors when needed
  • Install Patch Panels, Cabinets, and Rack systems
  • Install and connect multi-media equipment
  • Mount, install, and connect Coaxial and IP camera’s
  • Mount, install, and connect Wireless Antenna’s and AP’s
  • Perform tracing and repair of low voltage systems & cabling
  • Adhere to all quality and safety codes
  • Knowledge and familiarity with local installation building codes
  • Perform cabling install and repairs in high security environments when needed
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in data cabling & fiber optic installation, termination, and testing preferred
  • US Citizenship is preferred
  • Current NM driver’s license is required
  • Color vision to identify color coded wiring is required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately in English
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to move freely and safely up and down ladders or stairs
  • Must be able to kneel and bend freely
  • Basic computer skills to utilize online ticketing system via PC or mobile device preferred
  • Familiarity with reading schematics & blueprints
  • Able to accommodate occasional OT work (nights and weekends)
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact with co-workers, customers, and other trade professionals
