JOB SUMMARY

Snap Fitness Andover is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping our members and training clients improve their lives, physically and mentally. We are looking for individuals who love fitness, have a desire to change lives, and help our members and training clients get results.
The individual must possess grit, integrity, respect, leadership, and ownership skills. Additionally, you must be highly motivated, have an extroverted personality, be willing to learn and grow in the position, have initiative, know when to have fun, and be able to easily develop rapport and cultivate relationships.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
- Motivated, energetic, positive, outgoing, personable, action-oriented, and team-focused (not ego driven).
- Willing to work hard AND have fun. Professionalism is key but knowing when to have fun is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; an active listener who has the ability to connect with clients and members.
- Possess a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends (i.e. when clients want to train).
- Driven to stay until the job is completed and the care to make sure it is done correctly.
- Receptive to change and constructive criticism in order to grow and excel.
- Possesses time management skills and punctuality. Clients never like it when their trainer arrives late and/or unprepared.
- Exceptional telephone, in-person, and written communication skills.
- Willingness to thoroughly learn Snap Fitness’ policies and procedures and a desire to continually learn new training, fitness, nutrition, and leadership principles.
- Must be hungry and humble; be able to set high achievement goals but remain grounded at the same time.
- Must have working knowledge of basic computer software including Word, Excel, email, and the aptitude to learn internal software programs. Experience in social media (Facebook, Instagram) is desired (this is one way we grow our business).
KEY ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a fun and community focused club culture that delivers high member and client satisfaction.
- Evaluate an individuals' abilities, needs, physical conditions, and create individualized training programs.
- Observe and inform clients and members of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement; monitors individuals' progress and adapts training programs as needed.
- Provides individuals with information and resources regarding mindset, nutrition (macros/calories/etc.), and lifestyle/behavior choices.
- Demonstrates and educates the proper use of equipment and techniques used during exercise routines; explains and enforces safety rules.
- Able to teach adult and youth small group fitness classes (approximately 3 to 10 participants per group). If you have never done this, we can coach you on the skills needed to do this. You just need the desire to learn how.
- Responsible for equipment orientations, fitness assessments, etc.
- Assist in keeping the club clean for optimal member satisfaction.
- Attend team meetings and events/functions.
- Help plan and promote special events for the club (including community events outside of the club).
- Assist in creating monthly game plans to ensure the club's success in attaining the monthly revenue goals and objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or similar field of study OR a certification from one of the following: NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, AFFA, NFPT, or IFPA.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications.
