Material Handler

Job DescriptionJob Description

The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate receiving and storing of products to meet company standards of safety, productivity, and quality. This position is also responsible for moving materials to storage areas. If you have experience and are interested in this position we urge you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently handle and move materials within the distribution center or warehouse
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate equipment such as RF scanners, order pickers, cherry pickers, forklifts, standing forklifts, electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
• Load and unload materials from trucks or other transportation vehicles
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
• Follow proper procedures for labeling, packaging, and storing materials
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

• Experience operating equipment such as RF scanners, order pickers, cherry pickers, forklifts, standing forklifts, electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
• Previous experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment preferred
• Proficient in operating material handling equipment such as RF scanners, order pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks etc.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes

1st and 2nd shifts available

Pay range: 18.00 to 18.70
