Job Description: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Planner/Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in production planning and purchasing activities to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials. This role requires 1-2+ years of experience in a similar role, with proficiency in MRP systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing production schedules and plans to meet customer demand and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including production, inventory control, and logistics, to ensure timely execution of production plans.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Generate purchase orders and requisitions for materials, components, and supplies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Communicate with suppliers to track order status, expedite deliveries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Utilize MRP systems to generate reports, analyze data, and make informed decisions to support production planning and purchasing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying potential new suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor''s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in production planning, purchasing, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at our East Mesa facility.
