Harvest Green Montessori located in Richmond (near Sugar Land, Texas) is looking for experienced Montessori Toddler/Primary teachers.

Job Type: Full Time

Requirements:

  • Must have an Associate degree or Higher Education in Early Childhood, Child care Administration, or similar
  • 2 years of Montessori experience as a lead teacher.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor and lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
  • Should have current CPR / First Aid training completed.
  • 8-hour Pre-Service Training Provided. * Understanding of Texas Minimum Standards Job responsibilities as described below, but is not limited to. Plus16 hours continuing training provided
  • Understanding of Texas Minimum Standards
  • In Person
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Montessori, CPR/FA, and background checks provided

Job responsibilities as described below, but are not limited to

* Ability to teach in a manner consistent with Montessori philosophy and goals, and plan activities that will encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.

* Maintaining a weekly parent newsletter and daily reporting /logs.

* Being aware and executing Montessori lessons in chronological order, delivering lessons with the aim of promoting coordination, concentration, and independence.

* Plan and conduct parent teacher conferences, maintain child development records.

* Will be expected to close and/or open the assigned classroom and attend Harvest Green Montessori Open houses, special events and attend staff meetings, etc.

*Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children, Maintain proper staff-child ratio at all times

* Responsible and maintain safe learning environment in the class.

• Must attend all staff meetings, events, and programs sponsored by the school.

* Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding children and their families.

* Job Duties and Responsibilities will be shared in full during the interview.

• Some of the exciting things that you will do as a Montessori Toddler Teacher include, but are not limited to:

* Share information and materials appropriately with other Center staff members and maintain the records that are required by center policy.

* Plans and implements age-appropriate activities designed to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children under their care.

* If an assistant is provided, it is the Lead teacher’s responsibility to lead, communicate, and delegate responsibly.

* Always maintain proper staff child ratio at all times, interested applicants should submit their cover letter, resume, salary expectations and references.

For Example: Lead Teachers work an average of up to 40 hours per week M-F 7:30-4:30 with 1 hour lunch break. Harvest Green Montessori reserves the right to change all staff schedules, when necessary, on the basis of safety and child to staff ratio needs.
