Job DescriptionJob Description

General Ledger / Senior Accountant position for a company located in Foothill Ranch CA that provides medical insurance services to medical providers, clients and patients. 

This is a Temporary to Hire or Direct Hire opportunity working ON-SITE, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (hours subject to change, as needed).

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records and reports in QuickBooks.
  • Perform general ledger accounting and journal entries.
  • Prepare full cycle accounting, month end close (all JE's, accruals), bank reconciliations, finalization of month-end and year-end financial statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
  • Assist with financial audits, research and answer client queries, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments.
  • Process Invoices, apply customer payments, manage AR aging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Min 3 years experience as a Senior Accountant.
  • Expert in QuickBooks and Excel is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
