IT Systems Analyst (Healthcare)

 

Senior Psych Care provides fully integrative behavioral health services to the long-term care and rehab patients in Nursing Homes. We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team.

 

About the Role

As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining hardware and software on PC and Server; responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems solutions that meet the needs of our organization. With at least 2 years of relevant experience, you will contribute your expertise in evaluating and improving our systems, ensuring their efficiency, functionality, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Can build and maintain PC / laptops, install applicable software, set user permissions, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Proactively assesses system functioning and can recognize impending problems and correct them before work processes are disrupted.
  • This position will be responsible for server, database, and computer setup but will be working closely with Ergos, making sure to delegate work items as necessary.
  • Is responsible for providing telemedicine support, guidance and analysis for various business development and operations improvement projects. You will work closely with IT and accounting to develop departmental budgets and forecast, analyze costs related to those plans and communicate findings. These efforts include identifying ways to improve the cost data and monthly processes.
  • Serves as the information resource for client users; including determination of the most appropriate data source, providing or arranging application-based report writing, or educating users to retrieve the information themselves.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system analysis. Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend enhancements to existing systems. Participate in post-implementation reviews and provide feedback for future improvements.
  • Acts as primary contact for all application systems problems providing application support and maintenance for multiple software applications
  • Monitors user proficiency in EMR applications and provides on-going training. Ensures that users are kept informed of all system updates; and updates are fully tested before moving to the Live directory. The on-line scripts are updated to reflect any resulting changes in systems, departmental procedures, or policies.
  • Analyzes and documents problems, recommends solutions, and initiates corrective actions. Follows up on problem resolution and informs clients of status in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for any database or reporting updates / refreshes.
  • Develops and enforces system standards to comply with governmental regulations and institutional Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex systems and processes. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues or risks. Capable of developing innovative and practical solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders

 

Experience Required

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role
  • Strong hardware and software skills, including installation, upgrading, and replacement or computer and server components.
  • Server experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, MS Office 365, knowledge in Pivot Tables, Macros, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Access, and Active Directory.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems, processes, and requirements to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design system architecture, workflows, and data models, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Experience with database management systems, programming languages, and project management methodologies
  • Oversee the implementation and deployment of new systems and enhancements. Coordinate with IT teams to ensure proper configuration, customization, and integration of software applications. Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance to verify system functionality and user acceptance
  • May serve as project Coordinator for In-house development or implementation of vendor-based automated systems. Formulates system scope and design objectives through research and fact-finding to configure vendor -maintained systems or develop and modify in-house systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Must already know or be willing to learn and master within three months of hire:
    • Intelligent Medical Software (IMS) or related EMR software
    • Availity

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of networking and database methodologies preferred.
  • Experience in Healthcare information Systems software preferred.
  • Knowledge of Meditab products a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft BI, a plus.
  • Understanding of HIPAA.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Systems Analyst (CSA) or CompTIA A+, are a plus
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
