Rocky Mountain Meridian is seeking to expand its team of surveyors by adding an experienced and technical Survey Crew Chief. This Crew Chief will be based in the northern Front Range.

The ideal candidate will would be a highly technical individual who values their moral and ethical integrity.

They are in search of a career-driven Survey Crew Chief who will perform field surveying as part of a one-or two-man crew. The Survey Crew Chief will work together with the Project Surveyor to review estimated budgets, establish deadlines and schedules, direct the execution of field surveys, and assist in the review of project billing, among other duties.

This position works primarily outside, and therefore exposure to wind, extreme temperatures, allergens, etc. can be expected.

Successful applicants will understand how to work within a project’s scope and can self-perform field observations necessary for surveys including:

  • ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
  • Land Survey Plats, Improvement Survey Plats, Improvement Location Certificates
  • Design Topographic Surveys
  • Construction Staking

Requirements:

  1. Three years of land survey experience
  2. Knowledge of Trimble Instruments and data collectors (GPS, Robotic, Digital Levels)
  3. Excellent Motor Vehicle Record
  4. Pre-employment drug screening
  5. Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse uneven terrain
  6. Ability to lift 50lbs and carry survey equipment and supplies

Ideal Applicants ALSO Have:

  1. Five years of land survey experience (three years is required)
  2. Registered as a Land Surveyor in Training
  3. Some experience with AutoCAD Civil3D
  4. Ability to travel if requested (this position does not have a travel requirement)

Pay, Benefits & Hours:

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with a pay range of $26-$40 per hour, depending on experience. Rocky Mountain Meridian offers medical and dental benefits, as well as paid time off, holiday pay, and a 401k with matching. Company truck provided.
