Organizational Description: 

Legal Outreach is a 41-year-old, legal education and college preparatory non-profit that prepares urban youth for higher education and professional careers through law-related, academic skill development and support programs that operate year-round. We are seeking a Creative Content and Social Media Specialist to develop and implement content strategies across digital platforms, with a focus on social media and capturing videos and pictures of our programming. The selected individual will be responsible for creating high-quality content that aligns with our organization’s voice and goals, driving engagement and fostering a strong online presence.  

 

Primary Duties:

  • Attend classes and other organization events to capture students and organization partners in action

  • Develop content (graphics, videos, social media posts) that promote the students and programs

  • Plan, execute, and monitor social media campaigns across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build an online community around the brand.

  • Track social media trends and adapt strategies to maintain relevance.

  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s identity, tone, and messaging.

  • Maintain consistency across all digital platforms.

Skills:

  • ability to generate innovative content, ideas, and campaigns

  • strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills

  • proficiency in social media platforms

  • knowledge of design software

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.

  • Experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing content and social media work.

Location: 

Office is located in Long Island City, but work is hybrid (most work is remote).
