Position Title: Nurse Manager of Pediatric ICU

  • Location: Dallas, TX
  • Compensation: $47.79 - $61.19 per hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Full-time, Days (7-10 hours/weekdays only)

Job Summary: Join a prestigious healthcare team in Dallas, TX, as the Nurse Manager of the Pediatric ICU. In this leadership role, you will oversee all functions of the Pediatric ICU, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for critically ill children. This position involves managing the unit's operations, enhancing patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patient safety and high-quality care within the Pediatric ICU.
  • Manage and integrate departmental operations, including budget, payroll, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement department-specific initiatives and process improvements.
  • Foster strong communication and collaborative relationships with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Supervise and support personnel, including supervisory roles, and facilitate staff development.
  • Represent the PICU within the hospital and community, maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience within a Pediatric ICU.
  • Current Texas RN license or compact license.
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
