Payroll Assistant

Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for someone to prepare payroll for union employees. Duties will include:

• ·       Review weekly time cards from foreman for accuracy and activity cost coding.
• ·       Prepare payroll checks with appropriate state, federal and union deductions.
• ·       Make appropriate direct deposits to employee accounts.
• ·       Prepare Certified Payroll Reports for submission to Public Agencies.
• ·       Prepare EEO monthly manning reports for the State of NJ.
• ·       Proficiency in QuickBooks payroll software is required

Additional general office management responsibilities would include:

• ·       Phone and email practice.
• ·       Procurement of Bid Documents.
• ·       Distribution of bid documents to subcontractors and suppliers.
• ·       Strong working knowledge and application of the Word program EXCEL
