Job DescriptionJob Description

Our company is currently seeking ​an onsite Bookkeeper to join our team This position could be full-time (with benefits) or part-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of activities to assist management in maintaining the financial and accounting records of the credit union
  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
  • Obtain and maintain financial data for accounting records
  • Accurately enter data into accounting systems and generate reports on a daily basis
  • Maintain working knowledge of various accounting software programs

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Associate's degree in accounting, finance or business is preferred 
  • Professional Experience: 1-3 years previous experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting is preferred
  • Knowledge Base: Working knowledge of US GAAP, working knowledge of how a business office works, working knowledge of business systems and procedures
  • Technical skills: Proficient in Excel
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Problem Solving: Critical thinker capable of initiating process improvements and solving problems
  • Team Player: Collaborative and able to work will within a team environment
