Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a full-time Multi-Family Lighting Estimator with knowledge in the lighting and construction field to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, driven, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and likes to go above and beyond. 

Job Description: 

  • Read and understand multi-family electrical plans and specifications, including light fixture schedules. 
  • Ability to cross light fixtures and recommend cost-reduction options. 
  • Calculates, analyzes, and adjusts estimates. 
  • Provide correct budget pricing for products to win the project. 
  • Timely completion of bids and correct project hand-off to Project Coordinators and Project Managers.
  • Secure projects and maintain company standards of service and product knowledge that our customers expect.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all customers.
  • Communicates professionaly and promptly with other departments to ensure project completion. 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Relationship with local lighting reps is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of multi-family and construction industry with the ability to read manager plans is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and working with Mac products is required. Knowledge in ParSpec software is a plus.
  • Must be organized and able to manage multiple projects with high-priority deadlines.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and time management are a must.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team without having to be micro-managed. 
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with management and employees. 

Experience: 

  • Lighting and/or Construction knowledge 3-5 yrs
  • Estimators of other divisions encouraged to apply
