We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator with strong Excel skills to join our team. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting our estimating department by analyzing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and contributing to bid proposals. Your proficiency in Excel will be essential for organizing data, creating spreadsheets, and generating reports accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimating Support: Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and other documentation.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine material, labor, and time requirements for cost estimation.

  • Excel Proficiency: Utilize Excel to organize data, create formulas, develop spreadsheets, and generate reports to support estimating activities.

  • Bid Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of bid proposals by compiling cost estimates, supporting documentation, and relevant data.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and supporting documents for future reference and analysis.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates and bids.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and cost factors to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Entry-level position; prior internship or work experience in estimating or construction industry a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to pay attention to detail while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Team Player: Capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues across different departments.
