Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker or Finisher (woodworker) to join our team at Hinwood Inc. As a vital member of our woodworking team, you will be part of the team that crafts high-quality custom woodwork pieces to meet our clients' specifications. We are looking for someone to not only "do the job", but also care about it. It is very important that you meet our quality standards even in the most basic of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Safely operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to fabricate custom woodwork pieces according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components to produce high-quality products.
  • Ensure all finished products meet company and industry quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of materials and tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Assist with other tasks in the wood-shop and on job sites as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in the general contractor business, preferably in a wood-shop setting.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry principles and techniques, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
