Shop Foreman

M&M Fleet Maintenance is seeking an experienced full-time shop foreman for our heavy truck repair division. M&M fleet maintenance is light to heavy truck repair shop specializing but  not limited to fire apparatus and equipment. The Shop Foreman role is a key part in maximizing billable hours of the highest quality, while managing individual technician productivity.  This role is also reasonable in helping maintain the highest quality of work performed by the technicians.   The Foreman position is still expected to produce billable hours and contribute to the total shop production to meet the shop requirements.   The Shop Foreman role is to improve technician performance and further their development. This role is a Full time position, Hours are M-F, 7am-4pm. Roles and Responsibilities:

-Monitoring each Tech’s productivity

-Manage individual productivity

-Technical help- helping challenging diagnosis, in the moment demonstration of repair and diagnosis

-knowledge of current tech hours/current jobs to help facilitate completeness of projects

-Help  technicians organize their jobs to be more productive.

-Help triage incoming projects

-Manage shop resources

-maintain up keep of tools and equipment

-take the lead the repair and replacement of shop tools and equipment.

-Maintain a high quality of work without losing production

-Daily spot check of technicians work, holding technicians responsible to our standard of work.

-Helping creating, evolve, and manage processes to uphold a high quality product for our customers

-Shop foreman is the first point of contact when technician cannot resolve an issue

-Always work in a safe manor and consistently use the safety resources provided

-monitor the safety of the other technicians and report unsafe practices

-reward and recognize good behavior

-help keep our safety resources stocked, ordered and working processes.

Preferred:

-Licensed Certified Maryland state Inspector

-EVT certifications

-ASE certifications
