Job DescriptionJob Description

Growing pulmonary/critical care group seeking full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the team. The incoming individual will enjoy an established patient base and have the opportunity to help guide the future direction of the practice. The NP or PA will perform a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation. Outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital opportunities are available. Competitive salary and excellent benefits package. Entry Levels are welcome to apply.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory, diagnostic, and other tests
  • Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care to patients
  • Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care
  • Confer with supervising physicians and medical staff to ensure optimum quality patient care
  • Participate in chart reviews, staff education, and other continuing education
  • Performs related duties, as required.


Requirements:

  • Current License and Certifications from the Board of Nursing or the Texas Medical Board as applicable
