  6. Work diligently without immediate supervision.
  7. Follow directions, be self reliant, and have strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create, organize, and lead activities designed to promote spiritual, social, physical, academic, and intellectual development.
  2. Be sensitive to the needs of children and provide quality care including providing snacks and lunch, nap time, etc.
  3. Ensure children are safe at all times.
  4. Monitor daily outdoor playtime (indoor when necessary) to facilitate creative play, motor skill development, socialization, conflict resolution, safety, etc.
  5. Supervise proper handwashing and assist children with other bathroom & diapering needs when needed.
  6. Sanitize, vacuum, and clean classroom equipment, toys, and high touch surfaces daily or more frequently as needed.
  7. Develop positive interaction with parents while maintaining open communication. Keep parents informed frequently.
  8.  Assist with after school programs & events (Christmas program, graduation, BBQ, etc.)
  9. Assume ownership of your role as a member of a team working to create and maintain a quality program which consistently exceeds expectations in our community.
  10. Be aware at all times that your behavior should reflect Christian values.
  11. Be firm and clear, yet loving, gentle, and kind in your discipline, following Christ’s example. Treat children with respect; carefully choosing the words and tone of voice you use.
  12. Dress appropriately, following staff dress code.
  13. Be punctual and reliable.
  14. Be professional. Respect confidentiality.
  15. Maintain a clean, attractive, and orderly classroom.
  16. Move around on the playground & gym observing children playing.
  17. Be actively present with children, never leaving them unattended.
