Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in Wichita, Kansas. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Provide basic nursing care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to patients based on their individual care plans.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, and report any significant changes to the nursing team.
- Assist in transferring and transporting patients using proper lifting and transfer techniques to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans based on the individual needs and preferences of each patient.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
