A Bay County marina is seeking a Receivables Clerk to join their team This is a full-time, direct hire (career) opportunity with hours of operation from Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with no evenings, weekends, or Holidays. Receivables Clerk will need to be able to read a general ledger and know how to apply a payment as well as be familiar with full-cycle receivables. Clerk will also be assisting with the general store on a seasonal basis and should possess customer service skills. Compensation is $40k-50k/year, depending on experience.
Interested applicants will be required to complete computer-based testing with Spherion within a week of receiving the testing in order to be considered for this role. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data.
- Prepare bills and invoices.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generate statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Recording all items that have been delivered and updating inventories to reflect the new stock levels.
- Operating and managing the seasonal store.
- Interacting with customers and clients on a consistent basis, both face-to-face and over the phone or through written correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Willingness to work with people on a regular basis, both in person as well as over the phone and through written correspondence.
- Computer skills.
- Aptitude with math / finance.
Qualifications:
- Receivables Clerk needs to be able to read a general ledger and know how to apply a payment.
- Must have a knowledge of full-cycle Receivables.
