Position: Applications Engineer

Direct Report To: Director – Electrical Engineering

Primary Location: Dublin or Bellefontaine

Manufacturing Location: Bellefontaine, Ohio

PowerBuilt is a turn-key material handling systems integrator. Our electrical engineering team is seeking a qualified Applications Engineer to join our electrical engineering department to help with the quoting process.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing Customer RFQs
• Developing quotes and writeups
• Developing budgets for customer applications
• developing solutions with customers
• Advising customers on the decision to pursue custom solutions or putting their own spin on existing PowerBuilt solutions
• Manage quote log and look at historical data to determine quoting path
• Internal reviews with departments to discuss scope and design intent
• Working with vendors to receive quotes for components/systems

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Knowledge of Automation/Mechanical components
• Excellent communication skills
• Great organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• High attention to detail
• Working Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A)
• High Competency with Microsoft products
• Bachelor’s degree within electrical engineering discipline -OR-
• Associates degree with 4+ years of manufacturing experience
