Job Title: Porter - 3rd Shift

Location: Allentown, PA

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Pay Rate: $16/hr

SUMMARY:

Responsible for effectively procuring components from the Warehouse for specific orders that will run on the Production floor. These procured components will then need to be verified and loaded into the appropriate rooms by the Material Handling position. Properly written Batch Record entries (i.e. Lot numbers, quantities) and QAD transactions are also required. At each order’s completion, the Material Handling position is required to assist in the line clearances and perform the proper written and electronic transactions reflecting said clearances. The Material Handling position is also required to maintain the orderliness of all inventory staging areas as well as the building in general.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs a combination of the following duties to move material within plant and warehouse operations to keep packaging lines running:
  • Unload trucks using a forklift and receive raw material shipments from suppliers into our MFG/PRO inventory, and put away in the AS-RS system using the AIM warehouse management system.
  • Generate and apply bar code labels to raw material and finished product pallets and put away in the AS-RS system.
  • Review work orders to determine the products to be run during the day and the related materials necessary.
  • Check supplies and stock production lines with products and packaging materials as required at the beginning of each shift to allow production lines to run.
  • Restock production lines throughout the day as necessary.
  • Remove finished product from production lines and prepare for shipment.
