CNC Machine Operator

Crafting Precision with Technology

As a CNC Machine Operator, you’ll be at the forefront of precision manufacturing. Your mission? To transform raw materials into finely crafted components using cutting-edge CNC machinery. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Essential Functions:

  • Material Mastery: Load materials onto the CNC machine, execute pre-programmed sequences, and watch the magic unfold.
  • Setting the Stage: Verify settings by measuring positions, ensuring first-run perfection, and sampling workpieces.
  • Machine Whisperer: Maintain equipment like a pro—preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs are your jam.
  • Quality Guardian: Keep an eagle eye on cutting precision, troubleshoot any hiccups, and adjust controls as needed.
  • Paper Trail Pro: Document your actions meticulously in production and quality logs.
  • Safety First: Suit up in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure safe machine operation.
  • Beyond CNC: Dabble in non-CNC cutting projects and lend your expertise to other tasks (10-20% of the time).
  • Cleanliness Crusader: Maintain a tidy workspace because organized minds create flawless parts.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Instruction Interpreter: You can decipher written and oral instructions like a codebreaker.
  • Team Player: Collaborate with co-workers to troubleshoot and resolve work-related challenges.
  • Tool Savvy: Hand tools, power tools—you’ve got this.
  • Measurement Maestro: Measure to 1/32" with a tape measure or down to .001" with calipers or micrometers.
  • Math Magician: Add, subtract, multiply, divide—math is your secret weapon.
  • Blueprint Whisperer: Read and understand blueprints, cut lists, and shop instructions.
  • CNC Connoisseur: You know your way around CNC machine operations.
  • Tolerance Titan: Qualify first parts against prints and fine-tune settings for top-notch quality.
  • Independent Explorer: Work autonomously, even with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience (with at least 3 years specifically operating CNC machines)
  • Bonus points for CNC coursework or machine tool training

Physical Demands:

  • Medium work: Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
  • Flexibility: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and standing—your body’s got this.
  • Push and Pull: Steady force to move objects.
  • Eagle Eyes: Visual acuity for precision work.

Pay $28.00-35.00/hr
