Resident Engineer

Titan Fiber, Inc., a prominent broadband engineering company headquartered in Nashville, TN, is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Outside Plant Resident Engineer. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of our field services team and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of outside plant (OSP) projects, including both aerial and underground design methods, to support the expansion of broadband networks in Middle TN.
• Utilize expertise in OSP engineering principles to ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
• Manage and oversee RUS 515 contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate a proactive and self-starting approach to project management, driving initiatives forward and addressing challenges as they arise.
• Play a pivotal role in developing and leading a high-performing field services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Apply knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and cable count assignment practices to optimize network performance and reliability.
• Navigate permitting requirements and secure necessary approvals for OSP construction projects, maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Leverage familiarity with easements and right-of-way (RoW) considerations to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
• Utilize GIS tools effectively to support project planning, design, and documentation processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred; relevant working experience will also be considered.
• Proven track record as an OSP engineer or construction manager, with a strong background in telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Experience with both aerial and underground design methods in OSP projects, demonstrating proficiency in industry best practices.
• Familiarity with RUS 515 contracts and experience managing contract compliance and administration.
• Self-starter with a passion for leadership and team development, eager to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic organization.
• Expertise in fiber splicing techniques and cable count assignment practices, with a focus on optimizing network efficiency and reliability.
