Job Title: Janitorial Quality Inspector

Location: Intercontinental Airport Houston Parking Garages

Job Summary: The Janitorial Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance standards are met in all airport parking facilities, including parking garages, cashier booths, designated parking lots, customs and border garage, parking workspaces, and elevator areas. The incumbent will perform regular inspections, coordinate cleaning schedules, and ensure adherence to safety and sanitation protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily Inspection and Maintenance:

    • Conduct daily inspections of parking garages, cashier booths, and designated parking lots.
    • Ensure cleanliness and functionality of card readers, gate boxes, ticket dispensers, and exit devices.
    • Empty and replace liners in trash cans, including floor smoking ashtrays.
    • Walk all levels and stairwells to pick up trash.
    • Dust and wipe down handrails, balustrades, and stringers in stairwells.
    • Clean and disinfect elevator doors, walls, and floors.
    • Wipe down and disinfect call boxes, fire extinguishers, bollards, signage, and guard rails.
    • Clean oil spots and remove black streaks caused by luggage wheels.
    • Perform exterior perimeter cleanup to extend 25 feet outside the garage.
    • Maintain cleanliness of shuttle bus kiosk signs and "Find My Car" kiosk signs.
  2. Cashier Booth Maintenance:

    • Clean and sanitize counter surfaces, walls, panels, and windows inside and outside of booths.
    • Sweep, mop, and empty trash cans daily.
    • Conduct monthly burnishing of hard surface flooring and semi-annual stripping and refinishing.
  3. Ecopark and Customs and Border Garage Maintenance:

    • Clean office, breakroom, booths, and restrooms daily.
    • Ensure cleanliness of signage, card readers, gate boxes, and bollards.
    • Regularly pick up trash and extend cleanup outside lot boundaries.
  4. Parking Workspaces Maintenance:

    • Perform daily vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning.
    • Dust ledges, wipe down surfaces, and spot clean as needed.
    • Ensure restroom supplies are stocked, counters are disinfected, and adequate soap and towels are available.
  5. Power Sweeping and Washing:

    • Conduct daily power sweeping of designated areas and quarterly power washing of parking garages.
  6. Elevator Cleaning:

    • Daily cleaning of elevator phones, glass windows, doors, and walls.
    • Sweeping, mopping, and trash pickup as needed.
    • Regular polishing of walls and chrome surfaces.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma. Some college preferred.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and adhere to cleaning standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
