Dog Adoption and Foster Counselor

Dogs Deserve Better is currently accepting applications for a part-time role as an Adoption and Foster Counselor. In this position, your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and support to potential pet adopters, assisting them in finding a suitable companion that aligns with their lifestyle. Responsibilities include:

~ process foster and adoption applications

~ transport animals to vet appointments

~ oversee meet ups with DDB dogs and potential foster/adopter dogs

~ conduct home visits for new DDB foster/adopter applicants

~ Instagram and Facebook posts

~ work with our boarding partners and our dogs who are in boarding
~ visit shelters and private properties to take custody of dogs 

~ attend events with available, friendly dogs

~ input data into ShelterLuv software

~ create Petfinder profiles

~ submit a weekly activity report to the board of directors

Salary: $20.00 an hour

Hours: 40 hours per week 

Laptop and cell phone provided

DDB vehicles available as needed for transport and adoption events
