Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a plumber to efficiently undertake a variety of plumbing tasks ranging from fixing leaks to installing pipes/pumps, relocating water lines, and Water Heaters. A successful plumber must have a thorough knowledge of Flood Control and pump systems. RPZ/CCDI License is a plus. We are also looking for Plumbing Apprentices and Helpers whom we are looking to train. Our office is located in Skokie.

Responsibilities

  • Read drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and drainage systems
  • Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
  • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
  • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
  • Repair and install fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
  • Install and maintain Pumping Systems
  • Relocating Water Lines

Skills

  • Proven experience as a plumber
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems.
  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
  • Good communication, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Friendly with a great deal of patience
  • Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
  • Valid license to practice profession
  • CCDI/RPZ certification is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay is based on experience
