Civil Litigation Paralegal

Gilbert & Graf Law Firm is looking for a litigation paralegal / legal assistant to join our firm in Downtown Waxahachie.  Primary responsibilities include managing case files, preparing and drafting legal documents, case review, and hearing preparation. Strong inter-personal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

• Paralegal Job Responsibilities:
• ·  Draft documents including letters, petitions, pleadings, and briefs
• ·  Schedule and manage meetings, depositions, court appearances, and mediations
• ·  Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and courts
• ·  Maintain and organize legal files and documents

Paralegal Skills and Qualifications:

• ·  Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required or a combination of education and/or experience
• ·  Minimum two years experience as a paralegal or a legal assistant
• ·  Proficiency with MyCase, Westlaw, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc)
• ·  Experience with State and Federal e-filings
• ·  Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
