Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and managing project costs, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop cost estimates, monitor project budgets, and provide financial insights. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance and accounting, with a focus on cost analysis and control.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
- Monitor project costs and variances, identifying areas of concern or improvement
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost reporting and analysis
- Conduct regular cost reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Perform financial analysis to support decision-making processes
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, including SOX requirements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support the general ledger reconciliation process
- Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding cost control measures

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cost engineering or related roles
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation
- Knowledge of SOX requirements and compliance
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
