BTConsulting, Inc. is seeking an inquisitive, enthusiastic, and reliable Water Quality Scientist/Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) to join our team in Placerville. A current Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) certification is preferred. California driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and clean background check are required. Applicants must be proficient and comfortable using Microsoft (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) programs, Adobe, Google Earth, and web-based programs and databases. Salesforce software and SMARTS database experience is favorable. Organizational skills are essential, and candidates must be astute, rapid learners.
Applicants without a QSP certification will be considered if they meet the minimum education/experience requirements and commit to obtaining their certification within 90 days of hire. BTConsulting, Inc. will provide the required 3-day QSP/QSD training course at no cost to the selected applicant and BTConsulting, Inc. reimburses employees for certification costs.
Responsibilities include performing stormwater inspections as required by the Construction General Permit, informing contractors of BMP deficiencies, reviewing projects, conducting research, preparing reports, distributing documents, conducting stormwater sampling an analysis, evaluating and entering data, coordinating with project teams, developing processes, entering data, maintaining detailed spreadsheets, managing databases, planning meetings, maintaining fleet vehicles, and other related assignments.
The position is full-time with benefits and advancement potential. The work schedule is consistent but flexible and the pay range is $24.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending upon education, qualifications, and/or experience.
