Pharmacy Manager Abilene, Texas

Duration: 8+ weeks (possibility of extension)

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Immediate start required

Systems Used:

  • Order Entry System: Apollo for CPOE and Wellsky for revenue
  • Automation System: Omnicell

Compounding: IV compounding required, no chemotherapy

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Inpatient Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
  • PIC Role: Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
  • IV Compounding: Minimum 1+ year of experience with IV compounding
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid Texas Pharmacist License
  • Certifications: IV Certification is required

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pharmacy Management:
  • Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage pharmacy staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Staff Pharmacist Duties:
    • Perform medication order verification and entry.
    • Oversee and participate in IV compounding.
    • Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare staff.
    • Conduct medication therapy management and clinical assessments.
