Job description

Our client, a national food distributor, is looking for diesel/ fleet mechanics for their facility in Rogers, MN.

Multiple shifts available.

Sign-on bonus

Salary $35-38/hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities include:

Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, replace, adjust and modify company vehicles, vans, pick-up trucks, tractors, trailers and various types of refrigeration, air conditioning and temperature control equipment, including structural metal repair and painting of tractors and trailers, as well as performing road service and preventative maintenance duties

Operate electric arc welding equipment to repair ramps, ladders and tripods, repair or construct new cargo bars.

Other responsibilities to include: Aftertreatment diagnosis; us of OEM diagnostic software; Air drum and disc brake diagnosis and replacement; DOT inspections; and Driveline diagnosis and replacement

Maintain required logs, records, checklists and reports, maintain garage tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Qualifications:

At least 2-3 years diesel/fleet mechanic experience

CDL A or B license highly preferred

Experience with various types of refrigeration, air conditioning and temperature control equipment highly preferred

HS diploma/GED required

Vocational or Trade School certificate - Forklift and diesel mechanic experience can be used in place of certificate

Job Type: Full-time
