Job Title: Material Handler
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Location: Fitchburg, MA
Hours: 1st Shift M-F 7am-3:30pm. OT offered depending on business needs. 6:45am start until 4pm
 

JOB PURPOSE:
The Material Handler prepares and stages all the Injection Molding jobs at the machines to be ready to start each job.  The Material Handler also performs line clearance and returns goods to inventory for the next job in que and reconciles the materials for inventory accuracy. This individual is also responsible for cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Supply floor with all materials needed to run a job: resins and boxes. Bags all components called out on a work order

·         Perform Line Clearance when a job is complete, removing all materials and returning them to inventory.

·         Reconcile and weigh material accurately to always match on hand inventory and in a timely manner.

·         Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., good manual dexterity

·         Good communications skills

·         Ability to work alone or within a team

·         Ability to read work order and understand Materials needed to run specific jobs

·         Clean dryers when jobs are complete and put back in warehouse until next use

·         Set up auxiliary equipment along with Process Technician Supervisor for all jobs as needed.

·         Perform Cycle counts working with Purchasing Team

·         Always promote teamwork

·         Clean and maintain cleanliness of warehouse and workstations as necessary

·         Clean granulators as needed to meet production schedules

·         Clean machinery dryers, loaders etc. to meet production schedules when required

·         Complete paperwork as directed and process all material transactions as needed in the IQMS system and in a timely manner

·         Control all resin handling to eliminate contamination

·         Maintain inventory locations to always match IQMS system and in a timely manner

·         Must adhere to all company policies

·         Must have a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 9001 & ISO 13485

·         Must have a basic understanding of Work Instructions and their related data collection documents (e.g. run sheets)

·         Operate machines as needed to meet customer requirements & conduct breaks for the production floor as needed

·         Perform all duties as directed by the Operations Manager or delegate

·         Show support in the Growth and Continuous Improvement of the Company in all areas

·         Supply floor with all resins and concentrates needed at end of shift for off-shifts

·         Weigh material accurately to always match on hand inventory and in a timely manner

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

·         High school diploma, GED, or equivalent  

·         3+ years experience in warehouse or manufacturing material handling

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate with different levels employees

·         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·         Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

·         Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems
