Looking for a skilled dental assistant to be part of a fun, dynamic team dedicated to providing top-notch dental services at our newly-acquired family dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide efficient dental care in a well-organized and friendly environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment, take vital signs, and obtain medical history
- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment for patients
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and materials
- Utilize Open Dental for patient records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA guidelines
- Take dental X-rays
- Perform four-handed dentistry efficiently
- Perform other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in assisting with general dentistry procedures
  • Experience with dental implants is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Open Dental Software
  • Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Understanding of dental anatomy
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices in a dental setting
  • Strong grasp of dental terminology
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach
  • Previous experience in a dental office setting
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
