Job DescriptionJob Description

May include:

  • Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Utilizes proven lean principles for warehousing and manufacturing areas
  • Abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, work flow improvements, etc
  • Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization
  • Utilizes AutoCAD software to design racking, layout, workflow and material handling processes
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties
  • Interacts with MHE vendors and suppliers staying informed on industry trends,
  • Data analysis for metric tracking and metric generation
  • Recommends reorganizing workflow, relocating of equipment and recommends purchase of equipment
  • Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget
  • Work with Solutions Group on projects and data gathering when assigned
  • Complete understanding of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Metrics
  • Knowledgeable of Lean, Kaizen and 5S principles
  • Ability to work out the time taken to perform a task or to complete a particular production stage and set performance standards
  • Establishes continuous improvement goals and executes action plans
  • Develop and implement warehouse storage and retrieval strategies to optimize space utilization, inventory efficiency, and operational productivity.
  • Design warehouse configurations and slotting plans to maximize storage capacity, streamline picking processes, and improve overall warehouse efficiency.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge manufacturing processes and practice
  • A minimum of 3-5 year's experience in manufacturing environment, improving processes and KPIs.
  • Strong knowledge and application skills of Problem-Solving and Lean Tools including poka-yoke, Kaizen, One piece flow, 4M’s,5 Why’s, 5 W+1 h, etc.
  • Software skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Mnitab.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, being capable to train/coach others in the subject.
  • Effective communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Effective and proven project management skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing /assembly environment
  • Time studies analysis
  • Factory Master Plan
  • WCM, TPS, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing tools.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
