Learning Tree PPEC is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care facility or PPEC, that cares for medically complex children in our facility for up to 12 hours a day Monday-Saturday. Our mission is to provide exceptional compassionate care that meets the needs of each child, in a safe environment, so that they can achieve their highest potential. We are in search of a caring and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to be part of our awesome Family Tree.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to children ages birth to 21 years old in a developmentally appropriate center-based setting.
- Follow physician orders for a plan of care and provide documentation of care delivered.
- Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies.
- Participate as a vital member of our multidisciplinary team.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Interested candidates MUST meet the following criteria:
- Hold a current Florida registered nurse license.
- Hold a current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of general pediatric nursing experience, of which at least six (6) months must have been spent caring for medically fragile infants or children in a PPEC, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, or similar care setting during the previous five (5) years.
- Great communication and people skills.
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
