Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Use CAD models or drawings to setup and create CNC programs for 3, 4, & 5 axis machines using Autodesk Fusion or Mastercam
- Use proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards
- Use proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on workpiece matls such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, ect…
- Design and programming of tooling for machining and checking machined parts
- Create detailed setup sheets based on current shop practice
- Revise programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes
- Participate in troubleshooting on CNC programming related and production related issues on the shop floor
- Other similar or related duties as required
Education and Experience
- 3 years experience cnc machine operation 4 and 5 axis preferred
- 3 years experience FULL TIME CNC programming of 4 and 5 axis machines with Catia V5 and or Mastercam X4 or above
- General knowledge of G Code
- General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection tool usage
- General computer and Microsoft office skills
