Crescent Hill Animal Hospital is a small, family-owned practice in the Clifton neighborhood. We are currently seeking a full-time groomer to immediately assume the cliental of our current groomer.

 

 

Pet Groomer/ Bather

 

 

 

Job Summary

 

Perform desired grooms and baths for existing patients, or outside cliental. Bathing, deshedding, hair cuts, nail trims. Job is commission based Monday-Friday with opportunity to learn around the clinic and help out in other areas if desired. Some pets may be medicated for anxiety or sedated as needed. We currently groom cats and dogs.

 

 

General Duties:

 

Holds or restrains animals in a Fear Free manner.

Cleans and maintains kennels, bathing area, and work station.

Bathing pets before haircuts or brushing.

Assists veterinarians in grooms that may require sedation.

Monitors animals while in your care, walk for potty breaks, make sure each pet has water.

Cleans, maintains equipment, must have grooming tools already.

Watch animals to detect behavioral changes or clinical symptoms that could indicate illness or injury.

Educates or advises clients when behavior becomes difficult or coat conditions require a shave down.

Restrain pets while a doctor or technician vaccinates or examines as needed.

Assists with maintaining inventory in grooming area. Notifying management when supplies run low

Other duties related to the everyday operation of a veterinary clinic may be taught.

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

Experience: experience as a groomer, academy education preferred but not required. Willing to learn how to groom cats or perform sedated grooms.

Must have reliable transportation
