Job DescriptionJob Description

Provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals, groups, couples, and families, in an outpatient clinical setting. This role involves assessing client needs, developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans, and monitoring client progress. The therapist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support patient mental health and well-being.

Key responsibilities:

Clinical assessment. Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health conditions, including diagnostic interviews, biopsychosocial assessments, and risk assessments.

Treatment Planning. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting clear goals and objectives based on assessment findings.

Therapeutic interventions. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate to the clients’ needs.

Documentation. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including session notes, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Clinical Advocacy. Act as an advocate for clients, facilitating access to community resources and services, and coordinating care with other health professionals as necessary.

Crisis Intervention. Respond to client crisis with appropriate interventions with other services and supports as needed.

Professional Development. Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure practice is informed by the most current research and standards in the field.

Compliance and Ethics. Adhere to ethical standards and regulations governing mental health practice, ensuring client confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications

-Masters in psychology or social work

-Current CA state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT)

-Experience in providing mental health services in an outpatient setting

-Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments and providing evidence-based treatments in culturally competent manner.

-Strong interpersonal communication and crisis management skills

-Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
