Experienced Probate Paralegal for Denton Law Firm

Seeking full-time Paralegal with minimum of 3 years of Probate experience.

Position Overview: The person in this position will be responsible for timely managing estate and trust administrations.

Responsibilities of the Paralegal:

• Direct client contact and relationship management
• Draft pleadings and legal documents; e-file and e-serve
• Preparation of beneficiary notices, inventories, accountings, and Estate Tax Returns
• Preparation of probate applications and other court pleadings
• Coordinate hearings with Court staff, attorneys and clients
• Prepare for hearings with Attorney
• Record and store client information
• Post billing time daily on work performed

Qualifications for the Paralegal:

• Must have excellent mathematical, organizational, and technical skills
• Ability to produce a high-quality work product
• Notary Public (or will become Notary Public upon employment)
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and have reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Timeslips billing software a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills ---will require significant communications with clients, attorneys, court staff via both email and telephone. Writing sample a plus
• Be detail-oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Accurate, attentive, and experience handling sensitive or confidential information
• Ability to effectively support attorney through all stages of case development, from hearings and closure of file
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and other team members

Education Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years Legal experience, or Paralegal Certificate

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 per year or higher based upon experience and education/certification

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

• Denton, TX 76210: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
