Job Summary: We are a family-owned and operated business, and we are currently in search of a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team at Woodworks Fine Cabinetry LLC. As a Cabinet Maker, your primary responsibility will be the construction of various types of base frame total custom cabinets, where a keen focus on high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail is essential. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of materials, tools, and machinery in order to bring our clients' specific cabinet requirements to life. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a strong background in cabinet making, demonstrates excellent woodworking skills, and exhibits a genuine passion for consistently delivering exceptional results. At Woodworks Fine Cabinetry LLC, we solely focus on millwright work, meaning there is no requirement for painting, staining, or varnishing. Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand clients' requirements and project scope.
  • Select and source appropriate materials, including wood, hardware, and finishing supplies, based on project specifications.
  • Operate a variety of woodworking machinery, such as saws, drills, routers, and sanders, to cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components.
  • Build and assemble cabinets using hand tools, ensuring precise measurements, tight joints, and proper alignment.
  • Inspect cabinets for quality, functionality, and adherence to specifications, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate understanding of project requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, including proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in the field.
  • Solid knowledge of wood species, woodworking techniques, materials, and cabinetry construction methods.
  • Proficient in using various hand and power tools commonly used in cabinet making.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements, cuts, and assembly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find creative solutions when faced with challenges.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clients, designers, and other team members effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a vocational or technical program in woodworking or cabinet making is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or apprenticeship training in cabinet making is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a cabinet making or woodworking role is required.
