GENERAL OVERVIEW OF KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accountant will provide support to the Fiscal Department.
ESSENTIAL & CORE FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs account analysis.
2. Prepares and posts journal entries.
3. Completes bank reconciliations.
4. Prepares cost reimbursement invoices.
5. Prepares financial statements.
6. Assists with payroll processing and ADP system updates.
7. Conducts payroll compliance audits and reports.
8. Perform other tasks as required by the Finance Director.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
PREREQUISITES & QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business required.
2. One (1) to two (2) years of work related experience required.
3. Experience working with ADP.
4. Understanding of applicable wage and hour laws.
5. Experience with the use of Solomon software preferred.
6. Valid FBI clearance, criminal history check and child abuse history clearance required.
COMPETENCIES & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
1. Accuracy and attention to detail.
2. Computer Literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
3. Good communication and organizational skills required.
4. Aptitude for numbers. Excellent analytical skills.
5. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Excellent sense of responsibility and integrity in handling confidential materials.
7. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interface with all levels of staff. Professional courtesy with corporation personnel.
8. Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to solve problems that may disrupt or delay the efficient process of the position
