Join our tight-knit legal team at Hohn & Scheuerle. We are a litigation defense firm representing clients in a number of areas including personal injury, premises liability, insurance, construction, rental car, and the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA). As an attorney in our small firm, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact, work closely with clients, and take on diverse responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities:

- Handle a varied caseload encompassing all stages of litigation.

- Engage directly with clients, providing personalized legal counsel and representation.

- Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement agreements.

- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

- Collaborate closely with colleagues to share insights and best practices.

- Manage caseload efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.

 

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania (admission in New Jersey or other surrounding states is a plus).

- 3-7 years of experience practicing law, preferably in a litigation-based environment.

- Strong advocacy skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.

- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services with integrity and professionalism.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in all facets of litigation and the ability to handle a case from beginning to end. 

- Familiarity with local court rules and procedures.

- Strong client management skills and a client-focused approach to legal practice.
