Role/Title: Experienced Finish Carpenter

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Work required on occasional Saturdays

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
  • Commuting to Newport Beach and/or Huntington Beach.

Experience:

  • Construction: 5 years minimum (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Compensation:

  • Wages – Between $25-$45 depending on experience.
  • Paid Holidays

Languages:

  • English
  • Spanish (Preferred)

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Work with contractor and project manager to carry out rough framing and finish carpentry work per plans and shop drawings.
  • Installing very high end custom millwork. Need to be able to follow plans and shop drawings. 
  • Tasks may include: Wood framing, ground-up new builds, remodels, additions, deck installation and other exterior work.
  • Finish Work – doors, windows, trim, finish, decorative and custom work, millwork, and cabinet work.

Skills / Experience / Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum of working specifically as a finish carpentry.
  • Experience installing custom high end millwork.
  • Arriving to project sites on-time.
  • Experience with wood framing is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Communications skills – (not limited to) to be able to properly notify employer importance of deadline communication and overall response time to employer as it pertains to work related questions.

Willingness To Travel: 100% of job is traveling to job sites.

  • New hires are subject to knowledge-based testing as a prerequisite for the job. Including but not limited to comprehensive testing of both framing and finish carpentry standards, blueprint reading, and safety, other misc.
  • Ability to work with teams, take direction, and be open minded towards the best path forward.
  • Ability to comprehend, articulate and demonstrate assigned work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • On-time to work.
  • The ability to work inside homes that are occupied – respect, cleanliness, and awareness of one’s surroundings.
