you'll work closely with our clients to manage their month-end close process, analyze the financial
statements for the client, and provide support on special projects, as needed.


To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering
exceptional client experiences. You'll be responsible for overseeing the period closes, preparing
financial statements, and analyzing those statements against industry standards, all while
communicating with clients in a clear and professional manner. This position also has supervisory
responsibilities for our internal accounting managers.

Outsourced Controller
To support the team members and clients at Duckett Ladd through hard work and diligence. To
personally grow by increasing their knowledge of the monthly accounting procedures which will
allow for a better client experience. Crucial in moving the back-office product toward completion
and the firm’s standard of excellence.


Perform back-office functions for clients
· Manage and oversee month-end close process using external/internal resources
· Develop an expertise in internally used software
· Assist Client with payroll needs
· Assist on special projects as needed


Proficiency in completing period close
· Tie out applicable accounts on the trial balance and provide supporting electronic workpapers
· Annual, quarterly, or monthly reporting as needed by client
· Prepare financial statements for clients and provide them in a timely manner per internally
determined standards
· Analyze financial statements against industry standards in order to communicate any concerns
to the client
· Communicate any questions and needs to the client in an effective, professional manner via
email, phone, and/or Zoom
· Meet monthly with clients to go over financial metrics and guide clients with ideas to help
them reach their financial goals


Pursue professional development opportunities for personal growth
· Obtain applicable certifications, such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor
· Participate in webinars or other educational opportunities
· Internal collaboration on efficiencies and processes


QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO FILL THIS SEAT
● Requires a degree in accounting or finance
● Preferred experience with QuickBooks Online and added plus if you have payroll processing
experience
● Requires excellent multitasking abilities
● Passionate about helping clients and fellow team members
● Excels at communication - both verbally and written
● Strong attention to detail and organized
● Has ability to establish a strong relationship with new clients
● Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little or no guidance
● Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment

DETAILS:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $65,000 to $75,000+ per year + incentive bonuses
