Job Title: Registered Dietician (RN)

 

Shifts Available: Various shifts including 8am-4pm, 9:30am-5:30pm, and 9am-5pm

 

Location: Jamaica, NY - Hospital Setting (Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn locations as well)

 

Salary: $45-50 per hour, commensurate with experience

 

Health Source Group is in need of multiple skilled and experienced Registered Dietitians in the NYC area.

Experience Needed:

  • 1-year Registered Dietitian experience required; 2 years preferred.
  • Certificate of Dietic Registration (CDR) - Required
  • NY State Office of Professionals Registered License - Preferred
  • Primary Source Verification - required
  • AHA BLS - required
  • Master's degree - preferred
  • Previous travel experience preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status, including their dietary habits, medical history, and any specific nutritional needs or restrictions. This assessment may involve physical examinations, reviewing medical records, and consulting with other healthcare professionals.
  • Providing individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients based on their medical conditions, treatment plans, and dietary preferences. This may involve developing personalized meal plans, recommending dietary modifications, and offering guidance on nutritional supplements if necessary.
  • Developing and implementing MNT protocols for patients with various medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, renal disease, and cancer. This involves creating nutrition care plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and monitoring their progress over time.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to manage patients requiring enteral or parenteral nutrition support. This includes assessing patients' nutritional requirements, prescribing appropriate feeding formulas, and monitoring their nutritional status and tolerance to feeding regimens.
