Job DescriptionJob Description

Russell Tobin has partnered with a leading technology corporation based in the San Jose area to bring on board a Packaging Engineering Project Manager. In this role, you'll lead development activities, execute builds, drive testing and validation, and deliver high-quality products to mass production.

This is a contract role - expected duration is roughly 6 months, with potential to go longer.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of combined experience in project management and mechanical engineering, delivering products with multiple materials and high aesthetic quality.
  • Proven ability to drive day-to-day activities to meet project objectives and create efficient processes.
  • Skilled in identifying and directing resources for successful project execution.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, operations, marketing, and OEM partners.
  • Expertise in cross-functional communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Ability to provide status updates across various levels of contributors to executive management.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure dynamic environment and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Multinational development experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of CAD/Mechanical design preferred.

Description:

We're seeking a Project/Program Manager with at least 5+ years of packaging/mechanical background, preferably with prior engineering experience. As a Packaging EPM, you'll support cross-functional teams including Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Design, and Marketing, focusing on portable consumer electronics devices and mechanical enclosure parts. Detailed knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes is essential.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
  • MBA and/or PMP certification preferred.
