Opening with our client for an Environmental Scientist. 

In this role you will be responsible for conducting wetland delineation and mitigation projects, permit preparation, and plant and soil identification. This role requires a strong background in environmental sciences, particularly in wetland ecology, and a commitment to preserving and protecting natural ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wetland delineation and mitigation projects in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Prepare permits, including general permit preparation for well sites and pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
• Collect, analyze, and report on environmental data, such as soil or water samples.
• Identify plant and soil species using appropriate field techniques and tools.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess environmental impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct field assessments and surveys to support environmental impact assessments and environmental monitoring programs.
• Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external stakeholders on environmental issues and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field 
• 5+ years of experience in environmental science, with a focus on wetland delineations and mitigation.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting wetland delineations and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
• Experience in preparing permits for well sites and pipeline projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience working in wetland field environments is preferred.
• Certification in wetland delineation or related field is a plus.
