HBSCO LLC (HBS Trash) is looking for tire and lube techs for our Colorado Springs, CO shop. We are looking to build a strong team for our fast-growing location. HBS is a Colorado owned solid waste collection company operating in the front range. As a technician your daily duties will consist of routine and preventative maintenance. The trucks you will be working on will be Cummins, Cat, Mack, Peterbilt, Autocar, and Kenworth. You will complete services on front load, rear load, and various other trans trucks. We are willing to help you gain experience, knowledge, and certifications to grow your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform lube, oil, filter and multi-point inspection process to ensure proper diagnoses
  • Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
  • Assists in the repair and adjustment of equipment
  • Assists senior mechanics in the completion of project work when necessary
  • Maintain a clean safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards

Skills:

  • Draining oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
  • Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering, and windshield wiper fluid
  • Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
  • Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
  • Installing new parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
  • Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings to ensure the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
  • Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanic on the team to address the issues

Qualifications:

  • Diesel lube tech experience
  • Possess your own tools
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Waste industry experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as a team

Schedule:

  • Full time position with overtime
  • Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays
  • Schedule can vary, typically will run 12p-10p
