Private Family Office – Accountant

This successful office of eight tenured professionals is promoting the current senior accountant, which creates an opportunity for an accomplished accounting professional to join our team of professionals in serving our thirty-member family’s investment-team.

 

This position is the lead team-member involved in financial accounting and reporting for an eight-person family office team. You will prepare and maintain accounting records, including management and compliance reports according to standard practices and procedures to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial and management reporting. Teaming, confidentiality, accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism are important desirables for this fast-paced, educated, and experienced team.

General

  • Prepare general ledgers and financial statements for owners and family entities.
  • Process and reconcile payables, receivables, payroll, and bank statements.
  • Engage with banks, investment managers, partners, and clients on exceptional transactions.
  • Team with other management in preparing & monitoring budgets and evaluating creative investment opportunities.
  • Coordination with outside accountants in facilitating tax reporting, filings, and payments.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent and appropriate practical experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience and willingness to team with other outstanding team members.
  • Have interest in enhancing personal leadership skills while helping other team-members with professional development.
